Garrett Schwarz was operative as a stage clientele consultant for IBM when he'd at last had enough. He was no yearner interested in corporal business, since the repetitious routine wasn't originative enough for this player in the making. He had a secret docket and Balligomingo was it.


Schwarz grew up in the Chicago suburban area of Romeoville, later moving to Minneapolis during his older year of high school. He was already fond of the electronic sounds of Jean Michel Jarre and Pink Floyd thanks to his father's interests. Still, music wasn't a tangible idea, let alone a sensible life history strike. He gradational from Arizona State University with a business degree, later earning extra fine-tune credits in business. Having a typical nine-to-five job in Los Angeles was batten for awhile, merely Schwarz wasn't quenched. He was also beguiled by the melodic beauty of Enya, Massive Attack, Sunscreem, and hypnotised by the volume of Nine Inch Nails and the Prodigy. By the late '90s, he threw care to the malarkey and began fashioning music on his calculator. After talk with Delerium's Kristy Thirsk, he left for Vancouver, BC, to work with coder Vic Levak. There, the exotic sounds of Balligomingo were natural.


In 1999, Schwarz scored a conduct with RCA Victor. He, Levak, and Delerium's Bill Leeb and Chris Peterson honed Balligomingo's atmospheric instrumentals for the following year.


Seven-spot female vocalists from the U.S. and Canada were also brought in to capture Balligomingo's aesthetic saying and emotion. He made his first introduction with "Lost" organism included on the ambient techno compiling Natural elevation, Vol. 3, spell "Heating" appeared on Under Water, Vol. 1. Balligomingo's lush soundscapes were lastly spooled into a lunation trip for a debut album. In June 2002, To a lower place the Surface was released general.
